[ STOP ok yeets one to you on a monday, but ryo nods, and then--
They are in a dark bedroom. The windows cover the entire wall, from floor to ceiling, and the city’s bright lights stretch across the skyline. Neither Akira or Ryo are looking outside though; Akira, with what looks like yellow blood covering him, looks downward at his lap. Ryo watches him in concern, sitting in a car next to the bed.
“You used my list without asking,” Ryo says. “I didn’t think you’d act alone.
Akira doesn’t answer right away, his breathing uneven. Finally, he clutches his head and replies in a pained voice, “I want to kill them. Beat the shit out of them. But I feel sad at the same time. I feel like crying. It’s like I’m a baby.”
“Humans have weak minds. Thinking with emotions won’t yield rational answers, and exceeds our capabilities. At times like that, humans simply forget… humans also have the ability to not think.”
Ryo stands up, walking away to a corner in the room. Akira looks up finally to see what he’s doing, and Ryo continues to speak. “Alcohol, gambling, women. They use vices to try and forget.”
He’s at a safe. He thumbs in the combination, pulling out two large stacks of bills. He tosses them onto the bed in front of Akira, who jumps slightly in surprise. Ryo continues, “It’s human habit. Learn from it.”
Akira slowly reaches out to pick up the money, his expression one of disbelief. He looks back up to Ryo.
“Phase two of our plan will begin at Koshien next week,” Ryo says. “If you truly hate the demons, get back to your normal self by then.”
