[Unfortunately for everyone who isn't these two, Childe's favorite thing in the world is impromptu fights, so this makes this an excellent Friday for him. Tragic. He dodges with a laugh and shifts back on his feet, immediately and smoothly moving into a fighting position with genuine interest in his dull eyes.]

the punch misses, but dante quickly pivots on his foot and maintains him momentum to go in for another punch almost immediately ]

[FREAK TO FREAK COMMUNICATION!!!! Dan's small stature and speed might've given him an edge if Childe wasn't so used to fighting Scaramouche, who is smaller, faster, and relentlessly brutal--as it is, he deflects the punch by grabbing Dan's wrist and slipping off to the side, twisting it.]

Are you sure you want me to go all-out? I can be gentle.

[ with his wrist restrained, he kicks out, aiming for the back of Childe's knee. ]

If you handle me with kid gloves, I will slit your throat in your sleep.

[The kick connects--the angle makes it awkward enough that it doesn't send him to the floor, but it does force him to let go and pivot away, putting a little distance between them.]

Hasn't anyone ever taught you not to respond to taunts? You show your hand far too easily.

week 1, monday

[Naturally, this is in the simulations room. Because why wouldn't it be. Childe looks him over with interest.]

he gives it a shot. in the simulation, white rings form at his midsection and separate, leaving behind a slightly different dante.

[Tragically for everyone, Childe looks far more interested in this than he did during their last fight--for his part, he summons a pair of water blades, twirling them with the ease of a deadly swordsman.]

[ lights up both his hands with green energy, and shoots a beam of it directly at Childe. It burns like a friction rash might, but most of the damage it does is concussive, throwing back or damaging whatever it may hit ]

[With a roll to the side, he dodges, watching the energy blast through the fake floor, ripping it up.]

Nice, nice! Tell me more about it after! [HE WANTS TO LEARN ABOUT GHOST POWERS... but now is not the time, and he dashes forward, merging his dual blades fluidly into one double-sided spear, which he jabs at Dan.]
