Hm, their desires are fairly simple. They want to kill, eat, and give in to other pleasures.

They don't want to hunt humans down to extinction, since then they'd be losing their main resources.

[He nods, taking that in.] Makes sense. It's not so different from most beasts, I think.

Some, but I meant in general. Animals have to eat, but the smartest ones don't over-kill.

[This isn't an entirely accurate comparison, but. Ryo gets the idea: that even the natural world stays balanced.]
