no he's in one piece. he's sitting out in the garden, still wearing a tattered white coat, just resting on the grass under the shade of a giant mushroom. as torn up as his sleeves and pants are, it doesn't look like there's any bleeding happening. he looks calmer now, too -- it looks like most of the tension from earlier has lifted. one could almost think he was sleeping, but he looks up when childe draws near.]
... We were transported, seemingly, to a distant world, one that had been laid to ruin by a disease. There, we were tasked with exploring the remains of a city to search for books containing lost knowledge.
It was a place called Copenhagen. I believe it's from a world that one among us comes from...
I wouldn't know it, normally, but in that place, we all had memories of living in that world. Oddly specific ones, too... probably from someone else's life.
